CAMPAIGN-4

SUMMARY OF OBJECTIVES:

Listed within the public proceedings of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) are recommendations with 13 core national goals described as “Urgent Issues” to be addresses. There are also recommendations for preparedness, disaster management, and the national budget that need to be continuously addressed. The Community member's posted Ideas for this campaign will explore and support the process of addressing these (“Urgent Issues” and other recommendations), with the assumption that some Ideas may eventually be acted upon. We will also brainstorm ways to support GAO budget goals (11 areas, 45 opportunities, & 19 actions) by utilizing volunteers (members from the National Office of Citizen Corp's, FEMA Individual and Community Preparedness Division) and attempting to coordinate match criteria for pairing volunteers with various stakeholders who have budget issues, or who meet other important GAO criteria. National Domestic budgeting issues are primarily covered within this campaign, (war and international affairs) are beyond the scope of potential topics posted and are not discussed herein.
